Exciting Giveaway for the Crafty! Or NOT So Crafty...

Several years ago I began scrapbooking.  Decided I'd do scrapbooks for my children, documenting their childhood in adorable pages of pictures and embellishments.  I say "FOR" my children, however, they're NEVER allowed to touch them without close, adult supervision!!  Maybe they'll get to have them when they're married-depending on how responsible and mature they are at that point.

Looking back now, I realize I might've been a bit too ambitious with it.  I had it in my mind that I would do a book for each year containing pictures from each month.  Now, from birth to age 1, it's pretty easy to do as you always have tons of pictures documenting another month of life and there are so many milestones in that first year!  I got that first book done with flying colors! LOVED every minute! To make a long story short-I've got four completed books for my NINE year old (only five short years behind!) and two completed books for my SIX year old. (four years behind on her!) So I have six bulging, 12x12 scrapbooks that I've moved to two different states and three different houses.  NOT TO MENTION, we've added two more children that don't even HAVE a book NOR any hard copy pictures printed out. :-O

My present day mind set is that I no longer have the time or space for making these scrapbooks.  My "littles" won't let me sit and glue and cut and play with pretty papers and embellishments.  AND my husband likes to have dinner and clean laundry at least a few times a week...SOOOO... ENTER DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING!!

I've recently come across great digital scrapbooking software from My Memories! My Memories is a Polaroid company that "has a quickly growing collection of fresh and unique digital kits as well as My Memories Suite, the number one rated digital scrapbook software out there."  I've been playing around with the software and it's really fun and easy to do.  After I create my scrapbook page, (or photobook page, calendar page, greeting card, etc...) it can be shared online, saved to a disc or printed out.  Here are a couple of pages I've done recently, just playing around with the software:

This second page actually has a video embedded in it so that when the page is opened a video automatically loads of Emma telling her story of pulling her first tooth! SO COOL!!

Here is a YouTube video showing more about the My Memories Suite software:

  1. Lots of REALLY cute stuff! One of my favorites is the Dino-Mite designer pack. Cade is really into dinosaurs right now, and I love the primary colors with it!

  2. Ok. There were so many items that I just loved but a few of my favorites are: back 2 school pack, atta boy, & the pirate pack!!! Loved the colors in each of these (embellishments). I think the back 2 school pack is great since Jackson just started Kindergarten!!!

  3. I laughed out loud when I read your post about being "a little behind" - especially since I was the one who drug you to that first scrapping class - and then made secret trips to Hobby Lobby with you to buy supplies (hiding part of your purchases at my house so Nathan wouldn't know!!) That was 3 girls ago!! The two of us have talked many times about how we have gone from "scrapbookers" to "collectors of scrapbook supplies!" This looks like just what we have been asking for. I liked many of the packs I saw on the web page. But I enjoyed just seeing what you were able to do with the software. Neat stuff!!
